Not to sound d!ck but I'm an audio engineer myself. It really does matter on what type of aux cables people buy. It's true what is said most of the time. "You get what you pay for." I'm not saying spend one-hundred dollars on a monster cable but pay a little more than twenty dollars and keep it is satisfactory condition and people won't have this very common problem anymore.
As for my prior post in the this thread, it could still be the aux input itself. Often times people jab or pull on their aux cables too hard scratching the interior of the system and breaking something inside. It isn't recommended you do it yourself. You might as well have Nissan replace the entire thing for free as long as you have your warranty. Buy a new cable, if it doesn't work, return the cable and see your local Nissan as soon as possible.
