Google Pixel 8 phone

I tried a 3.5mm jack with 2 rings. No sound when playing Spotify.

Then, I used a 3.5mm jack with 3 rings. Music plays but I have to crank up the volume, but that adds static.

Also, in AUX mode with phone plugged in, the generic icon displays, but does not show the Spotify app.

Any suggestions. Thanks.

Purchase an adapter designed to convert the TRRS (3-ring) jack to a TRS (2-ring) jack. This ensures proper alignment between your phone's output and the car's audio input. These adapters are inexpensive and can solve the compatibility issue.

Thanks for your input. I bought a wireless 2-in-1 audio receiver and transmitter from Amazon for about $10, and that worked.

Sounds like a classic TRRS vs TRS mismatch. Your Juke probably expects a standard TRS aux input, but your phone’s TRRS output splits mic + audio, causing low volume and static.

Quick fixes:

Use a TRRS to TRS adapter.
Try a Bluetooth connection if your car supports it.
Avoid cheap 3-ring cables—they often give static.
