Ok my Mom just bought a used 04 Murano(without the built in navigation system). It has the Bose system with 6 disc changer. The red white and yellow RCA connectors are on the back of the center console, however I cannot find a button for them to get audio or video, doesn't seem to be on the stereo, if thats where it's supposed to be. I really just wanna use it for the audio jacks to hook a Zune up to(already have the proper cable). But does video play on the main display screen?

Also while I'm at it. The car came with a DVD system, a player with 2 monitors in the headrests. It was not hooked up, and I'm still working on finding a power wire for the DVD player. The monitor cables feed down through the seats from the metal prongs on the headrests, but I cannot for the life of me find where they come out! Any idea on this?

This stereo is becoming the bane of my existence, any help is greatly appreciated!

Sounds to me like all that stuff you can't figure out is after market equipment that might not have even been hooked up.

We bought our 04 with just about every option (except Nav) and don't have the RCA connectors. I suggest playing your Zune via a cassette adapter. That's how I play my Stiletto S2 in our Mo. Way back in 04, aux in's didn't exist in Nissans. My daughter plays her Sirius portable (SL10) through an aux in port on her 07 Quest.

I have seen threads in other car forums detailing how to retro fit aux in ports on Bose systems - but it looks like a real pain to me.

Great... but it must work somehow.

Besides the car has no tape deck, even if it did those sound like crap. If I can't figure out the existing aux inputs, I'll get one of these. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_1....html

It's hard to believe that ALL the 04 bose systems didn't still have cassette players. I know they did away with them a couple years later (not sure exactly when).

You'd be surprised at how clean the sound is through a cassette adapter. I actually prefer it over the direct (FM radio) connect that I can also use to play my Sirius portable. In fact, the cassette adapter sounds very similar to the aux in connection.

Yeah but it has no casset deck I assure you lol. That aux input device seems to be the best option, as she doesn't want a stereo head, and I don't blame her, the car has nice wood burl trim. Not to mention messing with Bose systems is a major pain.
