My Rogue came with power and heated seats but did not come with the aux power connector in the storage box between the seats.

How hard is it to add this after market? Is there a kit available?

Thanks,Bill

Did you take out the basket and check all the way in the bottom of the storage?

Only Rogue S trim models did not have the center console lighter plug. It appears you have a nearly loaded SL... so you have the console lighter socket.

Like peleke said, remove the tray by lifting it out and look for the socket in the corner, it's covered by a black cap.

Another little tip that I learned just last week:

The center console cup holder lifts out, so you can clean it in the kitchen sink!

I use the 12v power connector on my dash for our GPS, and then have a 3:1 power splitter in the bottom of the center console to plug in 2 cell phones, and 1 DVD player. The way the center console is designed there is no easy way to feed these 3 cables out, without having them pinched/damaged by the cover of the console.

Has anyone drilled holes thru their center console yet to feed power cables thru?

It looks like I could drill thru the front-left of the console, below the change holder, and have the wires end up in the little recess on the drivers side of the cup-holder. A couple rubber grommets in the holes would make it more presentable.

Alternatively I could drill thru the side of the console, near the seatbelt buckles, and have the wires come out towards either seat.

Has anyone resolved this issue yet?

And yes, I was thrilled when I realied the front-center cup-holder just pops out for cleaning.... I was going to post that, but others did so already. Thanks!

I've been considering notches with a large drill bit where the armrest meets the box. same for the inner tray. Ive seen this from the factory in other cars.

Last week, I installed a headrest DVD player in my Rogue. I fed the wire harness through the seat and under the console body assembly (from the side). Once there, I considered drilling a hole to reach the inside of the console, but finally managed to route the wire harness to the left side of the rear cup holder assembly. Nothing shows once the console rear finisher assembly is in place.

As soon as I install a second one on the passenger side, I'll snap a few pics for those interested.

Pics would be terrific! I'm looking at a portable dvd system for our kids, but this sounds like a much more elegant solution. Which brand/unit did you go with?

I wanted to install heardrest DVD players for my kids - we do a lot of road trips, but I have run ito a road block. I removed the stock headrest and inserted a 10mm PVC tube into the holes at the top of the seat to check for clearance and I can only get the tube down as far as the poles of the headrest.

How did you guys get the wires down through your seats? Does the 2010 seat have a cap at the interior end of the cylinder? Am I doing somethig wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Traditore,

Can you tell me how you got the wires down your seat interior? I have a 2010 SL AWD with heated seats. I tried feeding a 10mm PVS tube into the holes to check my clearance, but hit an end to the cylinder that holds the headrest poles. Did you do something unique to snake the wires down?

Any help would be appreciated

I'm in the Dominican Republic right now. Can't delve into the details. Will try to reply when I'm back.

There's no cap at the interior end of the cylinder. To feed the wire, I disassembled the seat trim. It's really easy and it allows you to see everything inside. No guesswork.

Traditore - I see that you are in Quebec, do you have the heated seats? I went to look at the upholstery and I cannot see how to take it off. I have a wire that goes up the middle for the heated seats which seems to be enclosed. Any help with more detail would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Yes. I have heated seats.

No need to do anything with the upholstery. What you want to do is move enough of the seatback trim out of the way. There's a clipping retainer on the back side, near the bottom. You can easily feel it because it's long and made of plastic.

Once the trim is out of the way, you stick your hands in there and you'll eventually reach the cylinder.
