Anyone using one? I know a guy using ons on his SR, but I'm going to be trying a different computer from them. I'm going to try the SM4, anyone have any experience with one on an RB?

a fair amount of guys i know overseas run them on their RB's. Those that run them prefer them.

yep, my buddy sware's by his! Question? How difficult was it to wire it in? I think I'm going to be on my own for this one, and wanted to see how bad it is... Don't get me wrong, I'm not afraid to wire some thinngs in, but it looks like this is pretty much like making your own new harness? Just want to be ready for what I'm getting myself into... Thanks guys

I thought the same thing about mine, but after reading the manual and looking at the work to be done i decided to not chance frying my module, and had it done by lightspeed. these things are expensive.yes, you are making a completely new harness for your engine.the instalation is more than just wiring, there is some modification you will need to make to your cam angle sensor to make it compatable. (i think it involves changing out weights, i would have to double check)also you need to installl various sensors: air temperature, coolant temperatire, and wideband O2 sensyou may need to replace any other sensors if they are worn out. TPS, Knock, ignitor chip ect. ect.i wouldn't suggest intalling it yourself unless you are quite experianced in installing standalone systems. i have a freind who just completed a $1200 course on specifically insatlling and tuning Autronic systems

i also forgot that your going to need the auto tune module and software to take advantage of the self lerning MAP feature

here is a good link with lots of info:http://www.lightspeedinnovatio...d=201

Autronic's site seems to be getting redone...

Basically it appears to me that you just check out the pinout for the Autronic ECU and run the flying lead harness to the sensors as needed. Yes it will be a lot of work, but I look at it as an excellent opportunity to tuck the engine harness without having to cut and resolder all the wires.

As far as the CAS, its a different trigger wheel inside the CAS. The CAS gets broken down and you pull the OEM trigger wheel and replace it with the Autronic one.

I havent installed one yet, but this is what Ive found from researching them.

That's the only thing my dealer warned me about. He said there were 2 different sized trigger gears. So he would send me one, on the fifty/fifty chance, and I could change it if it was wrong. But I was just planning on using the harness I have wired and breaking it down from where the plug is that goes into the ecu. I already know which pinouts are which, I'd just have to basically swap out the wires one for one(except on anything not used). I know all my sensors are good, I've got a power FC on it now. It would light up what, if any codes were being fired on the sensor check screen. I would just have to wire in specifically whatever changes, such as MAP instead of MAF, etc...

I just noticed you are in Missouri. Who are you buying it from? Ive heard some say a lot of dealers dont like to sell to the end user because they would prefer to install it themselves. Which is understandable, troubleshooting for people that dont understand how something that complex works is definitely not one of my favorite things to do.

I was thinking about trying to get one from MZM in Houston and have them tune it as well, but I still have a lot of build left before I worry about that too much now.

getting it from a guy down by Dallas. He is a friend of the guy I know here with the SR. My buddy with the SR had a local shop that he sold a while back. So He can help we with a tune, but I think I'll pretty much be doing the install...
