autozone's rebuilt kit

has anyone ever got a head gasket kit? or a timing chain kit from autozone? if yes does the head gasket kit comes with valve seals?

i'm planing to rebuilt my KA(s13) do i really need a timing chain KIT(chain, guide, tensioner, sproket etc.), or i can just get the guide and chain only.

one more question..the ka engine have 2 chain in there?!

If anyone here is plannig on to purchase these kit, here's the prices i've found so far.Nissan Dealership- timing chain kit:around 350-head gasket kit: around 130-piston rings-110Autozone-timing chain kit-around 300-head gasket kit:around 95.-piston rings-forgot to ask

damn i'm spending mad money just to turn my 240 back into a NORMAL condition...sighz~ is anybody out there doing the same thingas me, spending mad money just to turn it back to normal?

Yes there are 2 chains in there. I rebuilt my KA for nitrous so my prices were a lil bit higher. I can help you out though, go to www.courtesynissan.com for prices. They have better prices than most dealerships. The prices you mentioned before sound close for stock parts.

alright cool, thanks for the link.yea these are stock parts, i'm just rebuilding it so it'll run good and strong not for nitrous nor turbo.

Thats cool. They have both stock and nissan motorspors parts so you can have your pick. Good luck with you project.

300 dollars? which motor? DE? i gave 100 for my SOHC timing kit from auto zone and it worked just fine. :cool:
