So these past couple months have basically been horrible for me since there are events almost every weekend or so & neither of my 240's are up to par (greeny has been returned to stock and has had WOT issues since January - and verty is under construction rite now as well as leaking oils & smoking from the engine bay ).
Anyway, so I was prepping the Sentra w/ fat tires, but ended up not being able to borrow the car, so got my sister's stock civic, in all its 138/65R14 mismatched all-season glory.
Used this car for autox a couple weeks back also, but this time, there's PICTURES!
Man, you learn a lot driving stock suspension. FF, FR, doesn't matter - I feel like driving anything helps your overall ability as a driver.
Of course, my times were pathetic, but I got one of the veteran AutoX guru's to drive my car and he taught me the ropes of how to handle the lines, braking, etc. Relatively when comparing to my own car, I'm not doing too shabby .
And yes, this one is also automatic.
Been trying to get more people to go to these events and help get them into tracking their cars, but I've given up since 99% of the time, all I hear are excuses about this and that and bla bla bla.
Between this & the article of the 76 year old lady who road races her 240sx, I don't see any how anyone can make excuses for not bringing their car to the track, especially the ones w/ any mods at all... why fix your car if you aren't going to track it?
Some pics (taken by Mako, one of the most awesome local guys around in SCCA region):
And of course, this is a "Nissan" forum, so here's a few of the guys @ FRSport having a ball:
