I had ordered some pedals from http://www.autovation.net and they sent me the wrong pedals...

There was a little email back and forth, and they refuse to take back the wrong pedals they sent me and replace them with the correct ones.

BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE.

I informed them that I was a NICO moderator, and I have impact on a lot of people, they didnt respond....

Well heres your plug!

DONT BUY FROM THEM!

(Autovation, if you are interested in rectifying the situation, please feel free to email me!)

i'm just curious, how did they justify not sending you the correct pedals? they just didn't care?

LBC - did you check out Ultimatepedals.com? That was the place I got mine from - they did a really good job and got them out real quick, and they pedals are really awesome!

FYI - they don't have altima noted on the site, but they have the pattern and if you let them know, they can make them...

I had actually bought these before you posted about ultimatepedals.com

I am already almost $100 in on pedals, im not going to spend another $100... It sucks getting a product that is essentially useless and then not having someone stand behind it.

The brake is too big, the gas isnt on the right pitch of a curve, the dead pedal isnt the right shape.

It may fit an older altima sedan, im gonna see if I can find out and sell them to someone who it will fit... but obviously I wont get what I paid for them.

I sent an email to the seller with a link to this thread, maybe they will man-up and fix this.

Thanks for the heads up, will spread the word around at the local meets.

Can't believe they won't work with you to solve the situation-- don't they know aftermarket auto part companies live or die by word of mouth?

You could always line the brake pedal up with the right edge of the brake and make the left side stick out a bit?

Then the drill holes are off the pedal... Ive tried to make it work a number of ways...

To tell you the truth, im not really interested in modifying them to fit, they should fit already...

If i was going to start custom fabbing something, i wouldnt have paid $100 for 3 small pieces of aluminum.

Agreed - I didn't realize that the pedals had pre-defined holes that you needed to use...mine were I could use any hole I wanted to..

That sucks dude...hopefully you can find a way out of this...

Good to know - I was planning on buying a pedal set from them. Not anymore, so right there they have one lost sale already.

Thanks for the heads up, it's funny how stores don't care about customer service anymore these days, especially with the current economics conditions, they should be happy to have customers that are willing to spend money for accessories. Ridiculous!!!!

They dont have a forum, or a phone number to call them.

I see them mentioned on several forums, with good results on most... It stinks that this isnt like the rest of them...

Maybe they will come and fix things and turn a bad experience into a great one like Oznium did.

But even if they do...why should you have to call them out as a bad company for them to wise up and fix it!?

Ozium wasn't contacted first...the fire happened and he came right to the board and THEY sought him out and corrected the problem. You said you tried to return and they said F-off...

I think even if they do come around a fix...it really will never be FIXED!

Hi Brian,

You were in contact with Jeff. Unfortunately Jeff has left AutoVation as of the 2nd week in May after being with us for 8 years, this is why your request was missed. It looks like you have purchased pedals for an '08 Altima before we knew the '08 Altima used a different design than earlier models. It's absolutely no problem to send you the correct set for your Altima. For your trouble, you can choose any set of options on your pedal set at no charge (endurance or race series/competition, insert or grid series/aluminum or our new black anodized with re-machined surfaces). The anodized set preview can be seen here: (http://www.autovationparts.com...d.jpg ). Just let me know your choice and your order will be shipped out within the next 5 business days (unless anodization is required, it will be a few more days for that option).

I'm a bit surprised by the responses here, customer service is our number one priority. A couple of items to note:

- Over 15 years in business, I started AutoVation after making a pedal set for my '93 300ZXTT. The generic clip ons were constantly falling off on the track. - Several companies have copied our business model since then. - We are the original custom aftermarket pedal company and still offer more designs and options than anyone else. - We also offer them at a lower price than anyone else guaranteed. - Our pedal sets are 100% satisfaction guaranteed, we have never refused a return for an unused pedal set. If someone orders a custom set (i.e. with their name written on them or something no one else would want), then I may request a restocking fee but this hasn't happened yet. - There are thousands of Nissan Z's that have AutoVation pedals installed on them and many more on other Nissan's. That's what we started with. - Over the last 7 years, we have over 1,600 positive reviews on eBay with 100% positive feedback. - During our 15 years in business, we've had ONE customer who was not made happy and I still know the details off the top of my head: It was in 2004 and it was a set of pedals for an Acura Integra GSR. The customer was located in Canada and his pedal set was stuck in customs for 3 weeks (still do not know why). He blamed AutoVation and claimed we were trying to rip him off (but he used some curse words). We always ship USPS to Canada to avoid the customer having to pay duties. - Over 50% of our sales are from existing customer referrals.

As always, if there any additional questions, please let me know at [email protected] and I will be happy to answer them.

Thank you,

Anthony HensleyAutoVation Technologies, Inc.http://www.AutoVation.net

Hardly sketchy, I just need to know who the return is from instead of them just showing up with no paperwork or identification. How else does the customer get an RMA number?

Are there any mail order businesses that accept returns without pre-approval?

Your order total was $62.75 (shipping included). This is a little bit shy of $100.

As stated, we will not be undersold for comparable products.

As my friend Borat says..

The pedals appear to be of great quality, just the wrong fit!

I will be sending Autovation info in tonight...

Rest assured I will post installed pics once they arrive...

Another frown turned around by NICO and a reputable aftermarket company!
