For you guys that want to keep track of your maintenance, there's a free trial version of a really cool software that I've come across here: http://www.s-c-b.com/There's a desktop version that's pretty neat. In addition to the basic maintenance and fuel mileage data, you can keep track of part numbers/costs, insurance, etc. It'll track all expenses and show you graphically where your car budget goes. You can set mileage/time intervals and it will remind you when you need to change your oil, add BG44K, or pay your insurance/registration/loan bills. The really cool thing is that there is a mobile version for the Palm OS that interfaces with the PC version. No more stuffing receipts in your wallet. Keep track of things in your PDA, and it'll update your PC every time you synch.

The software costs $30, but if you keep track of these things, it's really worth it. There are trial versions you can download and use for 30 days for free. Honestly, I couldn't get the PDA version to run, but I think there's something wrong with my PC. I got some good support (very fast) from the company, but to no avail. There's something going on with my OS. Time to get a new computer.

I just bought the "mototrend Autotech" diagnosis software.I think I paid $20 for it.They misspelled Infiniti (as Infinity) on both the cover and inside the software, that was not very encouraging I thought. But I played around with it and it seems to work well. They also have a set-up for tracking maintenance.

Fred...:)

I just had to give a plug for this software again. I finally got it running on my PDA after upgrading my PC, and this thing has so many useful features. Check out these screenshots from the manufacturer:http://www.carcaresoftware.com/top_scrn.htmThe desktop version is everything I need. The PDA version is a bit buggy, and I will make a few suggestions to the designer, but I've very happy with them both.
