Autometer water temp probe location on redtop HELP!!!!

Were did you guys with a Autometer water temp gauge put the probe.Iv read some of you put it on the water outlet neck that bolts on the head.But the damn probe is so big I dont think it will fit.The thread size is 1/4 or 1/2 NPT,So none of those cool adaptors like the Greddy or Nissport will work.Any ideas?-Thanks,

I used the Blitz upper radiator hose available at Phase 2 http://www.store.yahoo.com/pha....html

****ty thing with the blitz upper hose though, your gauge won't rear until the thermostat opens. Kind of crap if your thermostat is stuck, you wouldn't know.

So is the blitz hose my only option here?

I have a Greddy temp gauge, but I tapped the thermostat housing. I thought that was sort of the status quo.
