I have searched the forums but it seems no one has hook up an Autometer Tach to thier VH45DE engine. I have hookup the 4498 autometer tach to the ECM pin #7 with no success. Has anybody every tried this with this engine? Do I need a signal conditioner? Any help would be greatly apreciated as the engine on my project car now runs ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIbK1AiQNhs ) but I need to get some instruments to work with it. Thanks.

Thanks for the direction. I guess I'll have to tap into my old group at TwinTurbo.net.

ECU provides a zero to 5 volt signal to drive the tach labeled voltmeter.
