I appologize if this has been answered before in advance, but I swear I've been looking for the answer for this for days now.I purchased this gauge.http://www.jegs.com/i/Auto-Meter/105/4889/10002/-1I'm an electronics guy and purchased 8 gauges for my RB25DET swap to ease the install (I don't want the Tach/Speedo Inaccuracy issues). And also does anyone know how to program the odometer since instructions don't exist ANYWHERE I looked.Do I just hook a wire to the speed sense wire off the ECU to the gauge? Like the instructions say? I can't imagine it's really THAT easy?

I run an Autometer Tach and that gets hooked right to the Tach Signal. I would assume the same with the Speedo and Speed Signal. I would think there is some sort of adjustment on the speedo for changes in gearing.

no instructions regarding programing the odometer... Try to spend more than a few seconds reading before you decide to become a jackass. So it is as easy as just hooking up the speed sense? I am familiar with hooking up the tach so that shouldn't be a big deal.

well you dont need to "program the odometer" because its based off of speed x time. so once you calibrate the speedo its set

you CANT set it to your vehicles mileage as far as i know. i have an autometer speedo in my car.

p.s. im always a jackass. and yes, it is that easy.

Cool thanks for the info.My concern about the odometer is only because the chassis has 127k on the clock and I'm not sure what the laws regarding odometers in PA is so I wanted to be safe rather than ticketed. Considering nothing else on the car is legal....I'm planning on cutting the wire going into the ECU for the speed sense and running it straight to the speedo. I understand that removes the speed limiter but is that safe long term? Since the HICAS on my car has been locked I'm not too worried about HICAS control.

Ask an inspection station. Thats whats really gonna matter. Ive never had a cop get in my car and check the mileage. You may have to fill out a form or something through penndot stating that the stock gauge doesnt work and you acquired a new gauge to replace it and it reads 0 miles compared to x miles of the old gauge.

Great, paperwork. Haha I appreciate the advice.
