Does anybody know of any cross-reference part numbers (or the style bulb) to replace the standard bulbs in Autometer gages to the LED's from superbrightleds.com? Standard wedge??? Also, I'm not sure if they're different, but the bulbs in the back of the smaller gages twist out in the plastic socket, and the larger gages pry out in a metal socket. I thought there was a link for this somewhere, but I can't find it. Thanks for any input!

They looked like standard wedges to me, but it's been a while since I messed with my gauges. The bulbs don't have a number printed on them somewhere?

Found it on the Autometer website.

Ha! Thanks man, I couldn't find that (gettin' old/going blind). I found 'a' link that Razi had posted a while back stating what LED's he used for the OEM cluster; but really that didn't help here. I'm not home so I can't get the part numbers off the bulbs 'til then. But see the difference between the bulbs used in #3220 and #2359 - What bulb style is in #2359? Overall, I'd like to know what part numbers to order when ordering from superbrightleds.com.

#194 wedge type!
Upgraded em to white ones, along with my gauge cluster.
Looks clean now. :)

I didn't use LEDs though, the spreading of the light wasn't good with the LEDs, it's only like 120 degrees.

I bought a regular "Super white" bulb from Autolumination

Much better spread.

2359 just looks like a standard 53 bulb.

I was beaten!

Never understood the ZOMG I NEED LEDs IN MY GAUGES fad. It's real difficult to make an LED illuminate like an incandescent.

Maybe if you were stressed for power, but that's an extreme and rare case.

I am stressed for power ... the power of night vision. My night vision has become worse over the years and the Autometer incandescent bulbs just don't cut it for me. I have seen so many LED's that actually do illuminate better, thus why I'm asking. If an incandescent such as what Razi suggests does the trick, then so be it. And thanks Razi (and others), for the constructive feedback. :dblthumb: I'm 44, not 16 and JDM-tite-yo (though I wish I still was - uh, 16 that is); and I tend not to follow fads. I need a brighter, crisper light. This qualifies as a necessity, as far as I'm concerned. :yesnod

Reverend D21, those look great! But I'm not using the OEM gages anymore. I had an old set of Autometer Ultra-Lite series laying around, in which the faces light up by indirect illumination. Autometer makes an LED set, but they're more expensive than other non-branded units.

My work in progress ...
