My driver side window returns to 1/2 down when I try to put it up. Is there an easy fix to this? I had it to the dealer to fix it once when it was under warrenty and they fixed it but it is doing it again and is now not under warrenty. Can anyone help?

Thanks!!!

I actually put mine in the shop today for the same reason. It's still under warranty but they said it was a replacement part only. I will try to find out what the actual problem is, when I get it back this afternoon and post again.

Mine is doing that to. From what I've been told by nissan is that they pull the door panel and reset the sensor that tells it were to stop.

It can't be that hard because it took them less than 30 minutes to fix mine the first time. Does anyone know where the sensor is and how to reset it?

From what I was told it's a very fast six, but I don't know where it's located either. When I get mine fixed I'll post up were it's at.

Hey guys I work at a Nissan Dealership up here in canada and we run into this all the time when I repair cars. Sometimes when you disconnect the window motor its messes its memory so there are 2 usual fixes ive found.

1. Turn your car key to the ON position and press and hold the button to move your window all the way down and when it reaches the bottom hold for 2-3 seconds. Then press up and hold it as it goes up and then when it seals hold it for 5-6 seconds.

If that does not work

2. Remove your door trim panel and where the motor is located there should be a small rubber nipple/button poking out. Roll your window all the way down and hold the button for 3-5 secs. Then roll your window all the way up and while holding the Window up button press and hold the nipple/button for 3-5 seconds.

Hopefully this works becasuse both these techniques have worked when I have fixed Altimas, Maximas, 350Z'z, Versa's and Sentra's and Murano's.

Good Luck!

Nice info. The second one was what my friend, a tech at Nissan here, told me.

I got my car back from the dealer and it just needed adjusting. Somehow, they managed to rip my rubber seal around the window so they are having to replace that. It leaks in the rain but considering the drought we have had here all summer, that shouldn't be too big of a problem for a little while. Hopefully they will have the part sometime this week so I can get it fixed.

Mine was doing it for last two years. But I'm too lazy to visit the shop about it. I just mastered stopping it 1mm before the full up.

It's very easy to fix. All that needs to be done is reset the limit switch.

Any chance you can tell me how to get to the limit switch?

Thanks!
