Automatic transmisson swap?!?!?!?!

I am having an RB20DET front clip put into a 240. transmission is a 5psd obviously. So i am wondering in the first place i can get a very cheap 240 but its and automatic. My question is.....is it safe to do a automatic to 5spd swap? is there dangers to it? and after its changed is the car really hard to work on or is it just the same as working on a regular 5spd?

wow...... I as well as several others have done the 5 speed swap. what do you think would be "unsafe" about it?

Only "dangers" that I can forsee is not having the clutch switch wired up to prevent startup without the pedal in or dropping the transmission on your foot. Live dangerously! Do the swap!
