Lightsout is correct. If you are parking on a hill, step on the brake,put the car in neutral, put on the emergency brake, let of the brake,then put the car in gear. That way the brakes support the weightof the car rather than the transmission.
And when u start it back up, put on the brake, put in in gear, then take off the emergency brake.
I hate hearing that "clunk" when a car is going into gear without themeasures take above
