AUtomatic Transmission Prob..HELP!

I have an automatic transmission that has a weird problem. I would drive it and every so often, at a red light, when i would come off the line, the trans would stick in 1st and not shift. If i gassed it, it would accelerate, but it would drive like i shifted it into L. The only way to fix this prob is to pull over and turn the car off then restart it, so I think it may be an electrical prob. ANy ideas?

And yes... I know I should convert to 5-speed. Someday... but I cant right now.

check and clean all the sensors on da transmission. then get a transmission. flush. not a drain and fill
