did you check/replace the trans fluid & engine oil as well???
EXCESSIVE heat will turn that pink fluid to brown... engine oil would be like hersheys syrup... hope you did those things as a follow thru...
-----------------ok, 10 steps for the self-diagnosis of the auto transmission using the OD OFF indicator lamp:
warm up engine/transmission to operating temp
turn key OFF
1: set OD switch ON
2: make sure it's on P ~ key ON, engine not start; do U C OD OFF light on for two seconds? if so, move to step 3
3: key OFF & shift to D
4: set OD switch OFF ~ key ON, engine not start ... wait ~ two seconds
5: shift to 2
6: OD switch ON
7: shift to 1
8: OD switch OFF
9: step on gas pedal all the way & release
10: OD switch ON
then, u should see the OD OFF light flashing 10 times
---------------------
u r looking for that long flash = the trouble code
if ALL ten flashes da same: OK
1: revolution sensor/circuit shorted or disconnected
2: speed sensor short/disconnected... etc.
3: throttle sensor
4: shift solenoid A
5: shift solenoid B
6: overrun clutch solenoid
7: lock-up solenoid
8: fluid temp sensor disconnected or AT control unit power source is damaged
9: engine revolution signal circuit
10: line pressure solenoid circuit--------------------------XTRA+++
if the OD OFF light is flickering: battery power low, battery disconnected fo long time
if OD OFF light is always on after setting the trans into diagnostic mode: u got a damaged trans control unit or the following is disconnected/shorted:
inhibitor switch, OD switch, kickdown switch, idle switch
hope that helps
