Well I am going to keep my car auto for now since all it needs to run is the transmission and rebuild and upgrade my extra engine(w/manula). I have the new torque converter and auto trans already. Unfortunately the guy I was going to have do the install is taking for ever to come get it and fix it.(deal was he gets my parts car for doing it). So now I am thinking about doing it my self. Anyone have any step by step info or advice? Thanx.

If the car was a automatic, it is pretty much pop transmission in put crossmember on, hook up driveshaft, and hook up the linkage for the auto shifter. That and dont forget to put fluid in it. It should not be hard at all if it was a auto, just plug and play.

One thing I was wondering about is putting the torque converter on, I have no idea how to do that or if there is anything I need to watch doing that.

ok, turn crank shaft with a ratchet or something at front. then remove bolts one by one at the bottom, were there is an opening at the bottom. there is 4 bolts, these will release converter from drive plate and the converter from the transmission. when you have the new one on, rotate the crank several times to be sure that transmision does not bind. hope this helps, if you want me to, i can scan it and send it to you.

Thanx for the info 240kid, don't worry about scanning it. I am sure it will make perfect sense once I actually have everything infront of me.
