into s13 with what engine? ka24e w/ rb transmission? sr w/ rb transmission? No to the mating up with the ka or sr. But making it fit into s13 would have to be answered by someone that actually did an rb swap or know of one.

If you are going to go with an inline 6you might as well go with the bigger displacement RB25det.

New guy here, anyone has the how-to to swap auto transmission to a 5 speed on a 1990 240SX? Is it woth the pain or should I get a 5 speed car instead? Just trying to make budget... Thanks

5 Speeds are kind of rare around here, if the lack of any listed in Autotrader or the paper are any indication. The swap is pretty straight forward, and the parts aren't *too* hard to come by. The most expensive part would be the transmission itself, followed by the driveshaft and perhaps the clutch and flywheel. If you get serious about doing a five speed swap, let me know, as I am wrapping one up myself and looks like you live close by. I did mine spending under 250 or so, minus the cost of various tools, but not everyone will come across a $20 transmission and have a bunch of parts donated from a junked car. Hell, the master cylinder cost more than the transmission did.

Bad advice. Do research and choose whatever engine will meet your goals (and more importantly, your budget) best.
