Automatic transmission Stuttering Problems

Well i had a problem with the transmission a while ago. It has a hole in the pan across from the drain plug but i fixed that with some rubber piece and a bolt that has held ever since. I refilled it with fluid and it has driven like a dream until today. While it shifts it jerks really hard a couple times and then is fine. When i come to a stop, the damn thing near stalls out, shutters real bad then comes back up to idle. Im thinking it may just be loosing fluid but would that caus problems like this or is it time to speed up the 5 speed conversion process??

sounds like torque convertor is stying locked up, I am thinking the 5 spd conversion is comin round real quick.

Yeah thats what i was thinking. If i put it into 2, then when i slow down it doesnt stutter as much. It just generally seems like it doesnt like to change gears. Do you think i could make it until this weekend.
