Hello,

I have a question regarding automatic transmissions and drifting. Well i went drifting in my car tonight in a parking lot and its awesome with the RB. But afterwards i had no power. It seemed like my transmission was slipping and i pressed the gas but wasnt going that fast at all. I turned off the igniton let my car sit about 5min then i had full power again. I had a similar experience with this with my KA24DE auto transmission. Why does it do this? Well i guess its time for a 5 speed swap....

no prob. take it easy, if you burn the fluid bad, your gonna fry the clutch packs.

change the fluid and get a cooler.

Maybe, i just thought it was the burnt rubber laid on the pavement! i defintley need a transmission cooler considering the cooler its going into now (radiator) is running above 200F

yup, get the cooler.

overheated transmission fluid smells alot like burning rubber, so if you got your brakes real hot and your spining tires, its hard to distinguish.

Get a transmission cooler and a oil cooler if you don't have one already. Also change your transmission fluid to a synthetic one. Either B&Ms trick shift, amsoil, redline has great synthetic transmission fluid.

Be carefull in the meantime.. you can really hurt your transmission by overheating it.

Btw, what transmission fluid are you using right now?
