automatic transmission harness?

hey all, i got a question. There is an 89 240sx in the junkyard that i want to get parts from for an auto to manual swap. My question is can the auto transmission harness from a 91 240 work with the 89 transmission? Or can the 89 transmission even be used with the dohc engine? Thanks in advance

hey, i did the swap. All i did was bypass the neutral saftey switch and hooked up the speed sensor. I don't have reverse lights, but i'm working on that now. Thats all i have hooked up. Nick

how do u bypass the nuetral safety switch? i have half of the parts in my garage and wating for almost the rest to come in.

To bypass the neutral saftey switch:the place where your transmission harness plugs in. should be 2-10 gauge wires, just strip them and wire them together.
