Sadly, my car was broadsided (RS front-end) by an elderly gentleman a few months ago.It took close to 2 months to get my car back from the body shop but they did an exceptional job on the repair.Problem is...from the day I drove it away from the shop it hasn't been shifting properly. It never sounds like it's in gear...have to let it rev to 3-4,000 rpm and then ease-up slightly on the accelerator to kick it into the next gear...almost feels like I'm driving a stick. My first impression was that my car had been idle for too long in the shop...then I had the thought that overspray may have effected something and it would burn-off.Having driven it for a while...the problem is still there (if not worse). There weren't any problems with the transmission up to and on the day it was delivered for repair so I'm, understandibly, puzzled by the sudden change in performance.Your input/suggestions are greatly appreciated![email protected]

I really need to get off this forum and get back to work..... anyway, you might want to keep an eye on this thread>> Click here ... person is having exact same problem.

I'm very good at replacing transmissions but not so good at diagnosing electronic ones. My wild guess is this is an electronic problem, not hydraulic. Speed sensing or throttle sensing perhaps, I would think if it were a hydraulic problem there would be either very harsh shifts or slipping.

I am going on the assumption the fluid level is ok. Check the level with the car RUNNING, in park or in neutral, after being driven for a couple blocks. It should be a pinkish red color and not smell burnt.

Over and out I've GOT to get back to work...
