automatic to manual

I am planing on getting 2 240SXs one is an automatic(trans is bad) and one is a manual(motor is bad) i want to take the engine from the auto and put it into the manual, someone sad i can not do it is this true?

Or would it be easier to but the manual transmission into the car with the good motor?

Whoever told you it can be done is both a moron, or just a liar, either way. It CAN be done, and would most likely be easier for you to put the m/t in with the good engined car.

If I could I would pick the car that looks the best inside and out, yank out the good motor and the m/t transmission, mate them, and put them in the better car. Then part out the other one.
