Automatic to manual swaped and it RUNS!!! but now I have a problem.

I finished my automatic to manual swap and it starts and drive 100% fine.. but I have a new problem. I dont know if i missed a plug or what here but when you drive it and let of the gas some times it will rev between 2k to 3k over and over a few times... It acts like it has a vacume leak or something but I didnt disconnect anything but the transmission and stuff I didnt touch the engine. So I can't figure out why it would rev from 2 to 3k for ...

Yeap... I left it in becuase i didnt want to mess with it but i have a Manual ECU if I should try it ? I can just throw it in... Will that help with the car any ?

I would try it. I think your gonna have to buy clutch depression relay though.

i never had an issue like that using the stock auto ecu after my 5spd swap

or the other s14 i did a 5spd swap on

I dont know what it could be seeing as all i did was swap the trannies take the AUTO trans harness out and ran my back up lights and hooked up my speed sensor and spliced the two wires to get the car to start. It was the 2 big ones behind the battery i think they where white and white/black. I can't figure out why the car would just start doing that.... But it also idles really high also... at about 1,500 rpms.. since i swaped the fuel injector when i found out one was bad so i might need to do a idle adj. or something .. Do any of you know if there is a way to back the idel down????

i did an auto to 5 speed as well. did you try the ecu? if not id try it, not like its a big deal. If it doesnt help, you need to search.

Well I have a new problem sorta .. I hook up the MAnual ECU from a 1993 240sx... and guess what it doesnt work at all... I dont know if the ECU is fried or what... I have a 1991 ecu ill try some time this week..
