Is it possible to change a once Automatic 1997 240SX LE to a Manual 6spd SR20DET? and if soo what's usually the range of one of these conversions?

Also another quick question. I'm planning on purchasing a 97-98 240SX, and then doing an SR20DET swap... now would the miles on the pervious vehicle matter all that much since i'm doing the engine swap?
