does any one know of a good site that would sell automatic shifter knob replacment? looked around seems like there is not much out there, looking for a silver round want to stay away from any leather. My oldone is starting to wear... thank for any suggestions...

The Factory shift knobs are between $180 and $220 but thats all I know of.

The local dealer near me wanted $250 for a new one.....

Yep, they are mighty proud of um'. I assume the high cost is in the function and not the form because they sure ain't much to look at. Anyone ever try to polish out the scratches on the aluminum bits? I'm tempted to just paint the aluminum stripe black.

i was thinkng of trying to take the shifter to a local upholstery shop and see if could redo the materials part and maybe take a wheel buffer to the metal parts...

have read about this being done (fixing the scratches) on 07/08 knobs.....I've also read about replacing the knobs with m45 Sport knobs that are all leather....

I was gonna say Momo makes one. You can get it in silver and with some black trims I think.

Just replaced my ugly wood grain golf club with the MOMO shift knob listed above.

I'll just warn anyone looking to do this that I found the shifter to sit better and tighter by used one of the rubber spacers provided. Just use a knife to cut the top off and slide it into the base of the knob, then wiggle it down to the right position. Its a little harder to feel when you hit the trigger pole, so either mark on the shaft before hand or keep testing the button until you have it firm with just a touch of slack.

Removing the plastic piece on the trigger shaft does let the shift knob sit lower. I found it too sit too high with it in.
