automatic seatbelts dont work?

so i know most of u will say just get s14 belts or those manual ones, but i liek my car unique here in calgary canada i have a usdm model with the automatic seatbelt month ago the driver side seatbelt stopped working i took it to nissan about 2 weeks ago, and they said the parts for it were discontinued, i know its underlife time warrantee but i am not sure on how to fix it can anyone help me

there not discontinued, there full of it. normally at the last resort you can get the warranty codes and call nissan north america. however i dont know how canada works(guessing they have a different branch, mabe not) call around or google search for basically the top nissan authority( like NNA) talk to them. dealers dont want to do this for you, and coming from experience, the techs dont want to do it either becouse it doesnt pay crap(warranty never does, sigh)

OR- you can just get used ones since theres alot of peaple swapping them. or get a wiring diagram and diag yourself, its a pretty simple system

How broken is it? If the motor or track are all messed up I would recommend replace or upgrade (S14 Seatbelts =P). If it is just the auto seat belt control unit, I am sure you can find a used one online cheap. Or you can just buy mine. That is if you can determine the problem. (Most likely it is the control unit.)

very well said about the full of it part. went thru this shenanigans with my old hatch and good ole NNA made it right although the dealer wasnt happy.
