Hi guys, I just bought a 2003 AT g35 coupe a few months ago, and I was wondering if any of you guys had any tips for getting the most out of the manual mode?

When I feel the need to push the car, and use the manumatic, I run it up to 500 below redline and then shift. That will put the shift right at redline.

When shifting, don't "slap" it too fast. It is really easy to miss a shift, if you slap it too fast for the switch to realize it's been hit, and change the gears. I usually push it forward in a hurry, but hold it there for a split second. Never fails.

Other than that, drive it like you stole it!

Manual mode is fun in traffic. When you are cruising just drop it into 3rd and take off. In the 1/4 mile i think it is faster to leave it in Full Auto.
