i wanna know is there any kinda of way to make my automatic transmission stronger so it cude hold the power of a turbo, i wanna have about 300 to 400 hp and for the transimission to be able to hold it perfectly. i wanna make the shifter look the same but for it to be stronger and last longer then drop in a turbo kit while building the motor. i really really want to keep it automatic.

You're not going to get the full potential and excitement of a boosted car with an automatic transmission imo.

If anything, save the auto for a daily driver.

Nothing wrong with the auto/turbo combo. Anyone that says different is only saying so because they prefer manual. They probably haven't driven a fast auto either.

Get yourself a big trans cooler and use redline or royal purple trans fluid. Should be good for 350whp assuming you're not loading the convertor all the time.

I have a turbod automatic, It's great for DD . I been using a trans cooler and redline trans fluid and it's been working great for a couple of months now. I'm right around 250hp. The great thing is, you never have to let off of the throttle to change gears

you could swap in a 300zx tt automatic transmission....very simple and should hold some serious power. i'm doing it now and it pretty basic.

either way make sure to run a nice large oil cooler.

I didn't think the 300ZX auto swap was that easy? Could you fill us in on the details of this swap? What about the TCU? Do you use the 300ZX TCU or 240SX TCU?

I'm all about the auto with a stall convertor...

It would probably be better for drag racing (ie less shift time)
