automatic KA stalling

Hey, I have an automatic KA24E and when I'm doing heavy braking sometimes the car will stall but more often then not it will make a lot of grinding sounds regardless if it dies after or not.

I hear whistling sound coming from the intake mani and I'm assuming its a vacuum leak into the intake causing it to lean out and sometimes stall.

ALSO, while cruising and I get to an uphill and begin to accelerate, the car hesitates a lot as if going to stall and i have to pump the gas pedal to get it going again.

I will look into this further tomorrow.

In the mean time does any body have any experience with this.

If it's not a leak I will be checking the fuel pump, pump relay, fuel filter, and fuel lines. if theres anything else I should check please comment.
