Hi, been lurking for a couple weeks, lots of good info here. I do like the Versa, but after 2 Altimas, I'm spoiled (don't like the style since 07). I miss the auto headlight function and the telescoping wheel (I've got long legs).Has anyone wired up an auto headlight solution (turns on when you start the car)? Should only take a relay and some wire.

Cheers

I was JUST thinking about that. Should be very easy to do. I'll meditate on this for a few days, see if I can figure out how to do it. Having come from a near-luxury vehicle, I too am spoiled by automatic headlights.

Are you looking for headlights on with the key like DayTime Running Lamps (DTRL) or something that comes on the a sunlight dusk sensor?

Don't know about the OP, but I'd like headlights that turns themselves off when I turn off the car. Should be easily done by setting up a relay connected to the headlight switch and takes signal from the wire for either ACC or ON from the ignition switch.

At least, that's my theory. I don't know which wire to tap onto for the signal, or for the switch for that matter. I'm by no means an electronics expert.

I'm looking to have the headlights come on when I start the car & go off when I turn off the key. Not hard to do with a relay, just have to find some time remove the lower dash panel & locate the wires that run from the headlight switch to the control module. Add a relay in parallel to the switch and a source of power to operate the relay so it goes on/off with the engine.May look at a light level sensor later.

Cheers
