Hey,

Looking at buying a 4 door for drag racing Friday nights (on a track not street), just for fun. I was wondering if the auto transmission can take any power? Not a 1000hp motor or anything, but just for fun.

Anyone else have a tuned up auto Skyline? Can RB26's be mated to an auto? A lot of the fast drag Supras and all seem to be autos, so I was just looking into it. Please no bashing, of course I prefer manual, but for this one instance auto might be best?

Thanks!

Simon

Over on hybridZ there is some info about mating a chevy auto to an RB motor.

The transmission will bolt up to any RB. I can't expect the GTS-T auto will put up with a real powerful motor. I had one I beat mercilessly; powerbraking and launching on it and it stayed together but that was a 250hp RB20.

here is the link and it is just for the rb26 but seeing how you can bolt a rb25 transmission to a rb26 i would think it would work for the rb25
