Hi. My 2017 Q70 is set to automatically unlock doors when shut off. Recently it only does it about half the time. It worked perfectly the first year or so. Any ideas what might be cause, fix?? The lock/unlock otherwise works 100% of the time with Fob or manually, seems to be isolated to the shutting off sequence. Thanks much for help.

I'm assuming you checked the option in the menus?

Kind of a 'turn it on and off again' suggestion but...have you tried unplugging the battery for a night?

Thanks Ilya. The settings are correct. Sometimes the door unlocks as soon as I shut the car off (like it always used to), sometimes I shut it off and nothing happens (so I have to manually unlock it). I haven't been able to duplicate the cause or predict when it will not work. I haven't tried the battery disconnect yet.
PS. I was sorry to see Nissan announce the end of the Q70 line this week.

More than one person on the forums has described electrical "gremlins" when it turned out to be a dying/bad battery.

May wanna check to see if yours isn't up to snuff any more.

If it is the battery, then I suggest you do this little mod to delete the manufacture's defect so that they can keep selling you batteries.

This is interesting. Never knew this was a thing. I wonder if this would fix my issue where my alarm will randomly go off when the battery seems to start getting a bit weak. I work from home full-time so I only drive my car 1-2 times a week and it's usually like a 10 mile trip to the store or church or something...otherwise we use my wife's QX60.

This will definitely fix your problem! I thought it was the alternator at first so I replaced that and no change in charging voltage of 11.75V - 12V until I found this video on the forum. Some people cut the wire, but I decided to just remove the pin from the connector and wrap it up instead of cutting the wire.

Dumb dealership kept telling me the car was smarter than me :bs:

I might just cut it too. My car is long past its warranty days and I'll leave myself slack to resolder it if needed. Was it #76/Yellow on our M56 as well?

Pin 76 is for the g37.

I believe it was Pin 22 (pdf pg 10)

Connector E5 (pdf pg 18 & 133), pin 22 is brown.

You might need to move the battery.

Funny thing, my 370z also has this wire, but i think it was either disabled or never activated from the factory :gotme
