I finally got some time to make this little thread. This weekend, I got a chance to go autocrossing for the first time and it was FUN. Coincidentally, I met up with FlohtingPoint up there and even got to ride in his 86 on his best run of the day

I started out pretty bad, with a 74, when the average time was in the low 50's and high 40's. But by the end of the day, I pulled in a 53

Jim almost failed me at tech inspection for not having my battery secured. But but I ziptied it down and they let me slide

My buddy in the passenger's seat actually pulled in a 55 when he drove my car. He wasn't as worried about breaking the car as I was

Top Down

In line behind the 86

My friend kept pushing his car without really learning the course, he ended up breaking his bumper off

This subie was BEASTLY. 310hp on low boost and 450 on high boost. It doesn't run on gas, only newborn babies and kittens.

[i

FlohtingPoint telling me its okay to be a noob

All in all, I had LOADS of fun. I think I'm addicted, for sure.

Niiiiiice!

The classic "I didn't tech my car before I showed up, and now I'm scrambling" routine! Hehe I made that mistake the first 2-3 track days I attended many years ago.

Solid mount that battery. So easy!

knowing me, i'd probably fire up cad and make a few different track layouts first so that i can have variety

hmmm, maybe i'll have a talk with my boss, he's even on the town committee of something or another, i'm sure he can warn the po-po to not screw with me...
