autocross/drifting in NY?

im interested in getting into(or atleast trying) autocross and or drifting. looks fun and id like to learn how to manuver my car better. does anyone know if theres some club or somthing in NewYork where i could try it or get started? also, i was planning on saving for an sr20det swap. but would i benefit from doing my suspension instead for these applications?
