Auto Transmission Problems.

Well put the transmission in my '95 200 se and ran fine on the test run all gears worked. Parked it for the night and on my way to work it shuddered a couple of times so I turned off on a road and looked at the transmission. Smoke was coming out of it so I let it cool down and drove it to work. When I went to leave it wouldn't go into reverse and couldn't put it in neutral to push it back. We had to drag it backwards and put oil under the front tires so that they would go backwards cause they were locked up. The computer told me the crankshaft position sensor was bad so I replaced it and I got first gear back and then I put it in reverse and it would just jump backwards. I need help!

well fixed it, I think what it was, was not enough fluid in the torque converter.
