Well about a month ago I chaned the transmission fluid in my car, ran fine for a while. Last night jumped in the car, and now the torque converter is holding for about 20 seconds before is starts slipping. Did some reasearch found that it may be a clogged transmission filter. Anyone had this happen, or have any insight into this.

It is worth a shot to change it.

Just drop the pan, change the filter, reinstall the pan and fill it. If it works great. If it doesn't, then time for a new transmission.

Are you sure it is not pulling out of gear when it tries to shift? Have you tried manually shifting it?

Yeah tried manually shifting with no result. It is acting like someone is letting off the clutch after 20 seconds of running. In the first 20 seconds though it will shift fine from first to second.

OK I am writing in here what the solution was just incase someone searches and has the same problem

Turned out that the transmission filter was clogged not allowing enough fluid to the torque converter. I Removed the pan and cleaned the magnet, pan, and replaced screen.
