Dude, I drove a 2000 Q45 AE and those things are boring! Sure they are reliable but whats the use if they are no fun. The leather seats are too comfortable, I can't belive I am saying that....BadQ45t wrote:dude, unless it is a completely rebuilt transmission you want no part of those early Q transmission's. They were very delicate and blew up on most people. I think you can bolt them directly in, but the TCU is different for sure on the 90-93 as they started in 2nd gear. I know there is a goodness in the early Q stuff, but the trannys were not something you want unless someone has rebuilt it from the ground up.
WHERE ???? Even I.O.S discounted price is listed as $ 4500 for the 90-93Q, and $ 3500 for the 94-96Q ???Lokim wrote:I can get a reman from Infiniti for less than $1800...
Search IOS and OIP by part numbers below - $1,559.25 is going to be hard to beat from Charlotte NC. It depends on your location as freight is a major consideration for both dealer and customer.qship96 wrote:WHERE ???? That must be the reason for the dual heat exchangers in the 94-96 model radiators. If one became plugged fluid would still flow through the other.elwesso wrote:It is true that early Qs had suspect trans and many (if not most) were replaced under warranty. I think its pretty well proven that he issue wasn't the transmission but rather the heat exchanger plugging

Yes - the HUGE numbers are for new transmissions. To get pricing on a NISSAN rebuilt unit it takes a direct search by "part number option" from the parts home page. Also, direct links to rebuilt transmission pricing will not return the prices.. So searching from the parts home page makes it work..qship96 wrote:So what are those HUGE numbers I got from IOS website represent? Brand new transmissions? Either the high, or the low number is wrong.....lets hope it is the high number I found!
