Auto trans only seems to have 3rd gear..

Well, after some good forward, reverse, forward shifting to get unstuck in the ice, I seemed to have lost my gears except 3rd. When I manually shift it to 1st it makes no difference.

Any ideas? The trans supposedly has about 15k miles on it, was swapped from a junkyard car before I bought it. Did work perfect until this incident...

I have a rebuilt one in GA....

There is a chance the ecu has switched it into limp mode. Is the OD light flashing or on? Try resetting the ecu. If that doesn't fix it, the transmission is done.

OD light is not flashing at all, and I don't want a new transmission as I'm gonna be doing the RB25 swap inthe next couple of months, just that for the time being it really sucks!

Just to update, went out and started the car the next day, and all was fine. Shifts normal. Must have been an ecu code or something. Thanks for help.
