auto trans inop

turned right at stop sign....went only about 30 ft as i have no autotran response in any selection. 1994 path/xe

Same exact situation happened to my Nissan stanza (90) and gears inside torque conv were sheared.........does this happen to pathfinders also??

Have you maintained the fluid at all? How is the fluid level and condition?

Bypass the stock cooler in the radiator, maybe it's full of crud.
