Has anyone found a point at which the Auto Trans for the KA24E slips due to too much HP? I want to turbo mine, but i don't want to do a manual swap. Also, is the KA24E trans the same as on the 90-95 240sx's?

Most people don't waste turbo upgrades on autos. If they do, they have drag transmissions. The manual transmission supports around 400hp, I really have no idea when it comes to the auto. Good Luck!

Also, yes, the transmissions for the 89-98 are the same.

Ive been meaning to reply to this....

There are a few people running some psi through their engines, and have auto's. One guy in specific (cant rem his name right now) had dyno'd at 240hp to the wheels (300 - 320hp at a 20 - 25% loss) on a bone stock 98 auto tranny. All he had was a Level 10 valve body upgrade, which basically makes the tranny slightly more responcive and efiicient.

edit: here he is also check out the hood struts page.... Look at the main image notice its missing a Master Cylinder hehe Hes got the alarm siren there.

I am running an auto tranny with a 150k on it and I am putting about 250HP to the wheels and the tranny feels fine. I also beat it when I drive it.

Yep, a new convertor will do wonders for your 1/4 et's. You'll need a tranny cooler though.

250bhp seems kinda high for that auto tranny, has anyone here done the level 10 build up ?

i had an auto with hks hyper, asp pulley, injen cai, catco cat, and top gun direct port nitrous. 100 shot, and my auto was fine, would kick the car sideways in 3rd, but the trans seemed to be ok. i was probably around 250hp, but never actually had the car on a dyno. Car ran a 13.9 at 101
