Auto trans cure maybe

Hi Guys This is in regards to the inherent problems that seem to plauge the automatic transmissons in the cars. I'm talking about shifting problems the key is prevent the problem and you can cure it . I'm sorry to say to all of you that are already experiencing problems the damage is probably already done unless your one of the luckey ones that might have found a cure in a bottle . Okey here it is I talked to a very good friend the other day that also happens to be a very respected transmisson guy who has also has had quite alot of experience with this tranmisson. These transmission's have a problem with burnning up planetaries because of overheating the cure is as simple as installing an aftermarket transmission cooler and for added security have it flushed and serviced with synthetic transmission fluid do this and you should have long service . To answer another question why does this problem seemto be worse in converts well put simply there heavier more wieght means the transmisson has to work harder well hope this helps

i solve my auto trans problem by bringing it to the scrap metal yard. was worth about $15.

Yah when I bought my vert I was haveing problems with my transmission for some crazy reason I could only get the gears into Neutral and UP into 3rd or DOWN into 4th it made no sense that and my clutch pedal was soo sof tit was like it wasitn even there so I did a complete swap I dropped my transmission and put in a new 5spd transmission and clutch it was soo weird but I think this was also part of my problem but all my hardlines and clutch master and slave wernt even there!!!! crazy eh so once I replaced all these broken or missing parts I can now shift into all gears and my clutch has presure its great hope this helps
