My 95 maxima with auto trans and 180,000mi has developed some problems. First the engine compartment was filthy so I decided to pressure wash the entire engine and all contents. The car started fine after and showed no problems. I parked the car for another day and then drove from NJ to FL 1200 mi. I drove the car pretty hard about 80 mph for about 800 mi without shutting it off just gas up and go. I finally shut it off to eat and fuel up when I restarted the car the overdrive light begain to flash and the check engine lite was on. The overdrive light actually flashes about 10 times after all other lites have gone out besides the mil light staying on. When I left the gas station the transmission was shifting hard very aggresive banging into every gear. So of course I pushed it on after checking all fluids. The next day I ran the computer for codes and discovered two codes 34 knock sensor and 125 line pressure solenoid valve. I then ordered both parts knock sensor and solenoid kit. The knock sensor showed up first so I threw it in and reset the computer that code never came back but 125 did the other part showed up a week later so I put it in yesterday. I followed all the instructions I downloaded and reset the computer and test drove and it was exactly the same. Same code 125 and overdrive lite still flashing upon startup. So now I don't know where to look could I have shorted something out with pressure washing it or could it be something else it has been about 3 weeks since I pressure washed it. The car has always been maintained pretty good and is in overall good condition no wrecks or wiring problems before this. I really don't know what to do please help It's like driving a musclecar when it shifts only without the chirp of the tires. I usually hit the gas and then let off and it will shift a little easier and then get back into it the other shifts aren't as bad as 1st to 2nd but still very firm.
Possibly TPS. check your connection at it but it may be the TPS took in water when you cleanned the engine. Also go through all the connectors that go to that connector at the corner of the trans. that is as you know the solonoid control harness. make sure you blow out any moisture trapped in those connectors.
