auto transmission stalls in reverse

i own a 1995 240sx base model automatic

when i start the car and shift in to reverse the car sometimes dies, and when it does not die. i can hear this strange clicking sound

the rest of the drive gears are fine

any ideas on what this could be ?

check all your vacuum lines and make sure they are on tight and not leaking.
