I drive a 1995 240sx, its automatic =[.Anyways me being stupid rinsed out my motor because I was degreasing it. Not full pressure but enough to rise the motor off. Got done, ran the car to dry off but then when i drove it like 30 mins later the car wouldn't shift until 4500 for each gear which blows.

I've taken out the four transmission connectors behind the fuse box and dried them as much as I can and on top I did the dropping resistor (line pressure connector) also with WD-40 and contact cleaner. Anything you can possibly think of trying to dry them. No go, still shifts after 4500 each gear.

I need to know if anyone has experienced moisture like this before in their connectors and how they got rid of this problem. Its been two days now and still no go. Are the connectors bad or shortened out now??Should I just go ahead and swap the sensors out?

Anyone's input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I had this same problem a while ago it ended up being my Throttle Position Sensor its the small black box with wires coming out of it next to the throttle body, when they get wet they tend to act in that manner. Is your check engine light on? A bad TPS will cause the trans to shift erratically. The code for bad TPS is 43 or p0120.
