The US KA24E and KA24DE trannies WILL NOT bolt up to a redtop. Only the automatic transmission from a redtop will fit on a redtop. (Well a blacktop S13 and S14 auto will probablt fit too)

or you could just get a redtop with an auto transmission already on it and pay a whole hell of a lot less than for a manual sr20

You mean front clips? If you haven't bought an sr20...tell the shop/person you'll be ordering from specifically that you want a front clip/motorset with an automatic transmission.

They import quite a few automatics as well as manuals to this country. Just ask around, im sure you'll find one from the dozens of companies that sell SR20DET's.

When it comes to SR's there is no price brackets, you'll find some redtops for 3000, some for 1000, but being an auto or manual will have no difference on price. The price difference depends more on the quality/condition of the seller and the service of the seller.

Flash Options has been discussed EXTENSIVELY in the past on this board (so you might want to search). I never read the past threads, they are known to have really really low prices. I have a friend that will recieve a clip within the month so I will see how they're quality is then. Ive heard of level 10 transmissions but nothing other than the name.

assuming you had two redtops and they both in the same exact condition and had the same exact miles, the one with an auto transmission would be cheaper, because it doesnt have as much demand as manual transmission SR's. Just basic supply and demand economics. This is a general statement because you could aways get ripped off with an auto sr20 or get a really good deal on a manual one, so it all depends on if you know you can trust who your buying it from to give you the right price.
