auto transmission question

i got a question . i have an 93 240sx automatic and it shifts late in first and second gear it shifts like at 5,000 sometimes what could be the problem? could my transmission be going out

Automatic use fluide flow to change gears. A transmission flush might do the trick, you are suppose to get your transmission flushed every to years or 25k miles. Is there any slipping? Try flushing it and replacing the filter before you take it to a shop because, I guarantee you, that they are automatically going to say that it needs rebuilt.

Check the throttle position sensor first, it may be either bad or just out of adjustment.

thanx so i might just need a flush havent got one ,do autos have gear oil 2 so ill check the tps i have to check the volts or that if its connected right?

no gear oil, just transmission fluide
