auto transmission Qs

so it boils down to me needing a transmission for my 93 king 2wd, auto, 4cyl, floor shift. 3rd n 4th gears gone.

i know of tons of s14 or s14 auto trannys for stupid cheap...but do they work?

i know of a 94 transmission for 650 in TN: can get it next day...just dont wanna spend that much unless i really need to.

i know of a 91 transmission thats local for cheap, but its a column shift.

i know of a 96 transmission thats also local, but its a 96.

so my questions are what would be involved to make a column shift work with my floor shift, and what would be different on the 96. and how diff 240sx trannys are. any help would be highly appreciated. thanx guys

OK dude check this out. Call this number 1-877-268-0663. This is got transmissions.com. They hooked me up with a trany. You may have already called them but its worth a try. They will answer all of these questions for you. Just let them know the deal and they will help. You can talk to Dave at ext. 111 or Tim at ext 153. I have an '87 D21 and they let me know that '86 and '87 will work together. So they should tell you what years and if a column and a floor shift will work. Good luck my friend.
